Why Diamond Bond Partners With Builders and Glass Companies
Most of what Diamond Bond does is for homeowners. But a lot of the best work starts with a builder, a remodeler, or a glass company who calls first.
That makes sense. By the time a homeowner is living in the house, the best window for protecting new surfaces has already passed. The people who control that window are the people running the job.
This is how we think about working with the trades, and what you can expect from us.
Who we are
Diamond Bond Oregon is based in Lake Oswego and serves the Portland–Vancouver metro. We have been sealing, protecting, and restoring glass and stone surfaces for over 25 years.
We work on shower glass, granite and travertine, ceramic tile and grout, marble and natural stone, porcelain sinks and tubs, and windows and exterior glass. The point of each is an invisible barrier that repels water and resists stains, and each surface has its own page on our site if you want details.
Who we have worked with
Our site names some of the professionals we have worked with: Renaissance Homes, Customline Shower Company, and Heritage Glass. A builder, a shower company, and a glass company. Those are the trades that put these surfaces in.
We will not dress that up with project details we cannot share. If you want to talk about what working with us looks like, the best source is a conversation with us.
What a builder partnership looks like
The relationship is simple. You build. We protect the surfaces after you finish them.
We work inside your schedule. Sealing happens after the final clean and before the walkthrough or move-in. Diamond Bond coordinates with your schedule, so you are not rearranging your trades around us.
We do not compete with your trades. We are not a tile setter, a glass fabricator, or a stone shop. We take the finished surface and protect it. That keeps the lines clear.
We make your closeout easier to finish. The goal is a house that still looks like the day you finished it when the buyer walks in, and fewer small complaints afterward.
What glass companies get from it
Shower glass is where a glass company's name is on the work. If a pane clouds up a few months after install, the homeowner does not distinguish between water and workmanship. They just see glass that does not look right.
Protecting the glass at install helps keep what you installed looking the way you delivered it. Water has less to cling to, and the glass is easier to keep clear. That is a better handoff, and it is a better story to tell your customer about care.
We do not tell your customers how to use your product. We offer a way to protect it, and you decide whether it is worth offering. Our shower glass page is a good place to see how we describe it.
What designers and developers get
If you specify stone, we can protect it the way it was specified. Granite, travertine, and marble each respond to water and wear differently, and our pages on granite and travertine cover how we approach them.
Developers and multi-unit builders have the same need at a larger scale: consistent finishes at handover. We would want to see the project before talking specifics, and a free estimate is where that begins.
How we communicate
Short answers, honest ones. If a surface is outside what we do, we tell you. We work on the materials listed above, and we will not promise results on things we do not treat.
We also do not promise a number of years. Protection lasts for years depending on water conditions and care, and we would rather say so up front than have you hear it from a homeowner later.
Water varies, too. Portland's Bull Run supply is generally soft, and many suburbs, Vancouver and Clark County systems, and private wells vary. Mineral spotting and soap scum still show up on unprotected glass whichever water you have.
How to start
The simplest way is to pick one upcoming home and ask for a free estimate. See how the sealing fits the closeout, and how your buyer reacts. Then decide whether it belongs on every house.
